Picturesque Somerset County, Maryland
is where you will find Atlantic Tractor’s Pocomoke
City location.
This Atlantic
Tractor branch was started in 1958 by Will Stevenson.
Named Stevenson Equipment Company, it opened its
doors in January of 1958 with just four employees.
Later that same year, the business relocated to its
present location on US 13, just north of
Pocomoke City, Maryland. In 1969,
Stevenson Equipment opened a second location in Tasley,
Virginia.
The two
locations of Stevenson Equipment (Pocomoke City and
Tasley) brought to the merger several Circle of Excellence
Awards and a John Deere Manager’s Club Award.
Stevenson Equipment was also a Signature Dealer.
This organization brought to Atlantic Tractor a
large parts inventory, a staff of 20 with over 200 years
of experience and a general manager/owner group with close
to 50 years of John Deere dealership experience.
On October 15,
2004, the Stevenson Equipment location in
Pocomoke
City
joined forces with 10 other John Deere dealerships in the
Delmarva and southern Pennsylvania
areas to form Atlantic Tractor, LLC.
Since the merger, Atlantic Tractor has put in place such programs as 24X7 parts and service for our agricultural and commercial customers, an extended 1 year parts warranty on Atlantic Tractor installed John Deere parts and extended seasonal store hours.
