2026 Kuhn MM Twin Mergers 701
In a Class of Its OwnWith working widths of 24' and 30’, and many of the features KUHN mergers are known for, the MM 701 & MM 890 provide operators with the working power of a triple merger in the compact size of a twin.
KUHN’s twin hay mergers provide operators with simplicity, versatility, and dependability. The KUHN MM 701 and 890 Merge Maxx® hay mergers offer 24’ and 30’ pickup widths respectively. Designed for mid-to large dairy and commercial forage operations they can merge to the left, right or 50/50 split creating even windrows for the forage harvester. The floating windguard ensures smooth and even windrows to make the forage harvester more efficient, while the crop netting improves leaf retention in the windrow. Simple and durable mechanical flotation on each head eliminates the need to engage float via the tractor's hydraulics. The IntelliMerge™ ISOBUS control system is an industry exclusive and standard on both the MM 701 and 890, improving operator ergonomics and operational efficiency.
Features may include:
Multiple Delivery OptionsThe MM 701 and 890 hay mergers can merge crop to the left, right, split or with either wing in the raised position. Both models have the ability to 50/50 split leaving all windrows with an even amount of crop for better harvesting efficiency. Having the ability to raise the wings independently is particularly useful for opening up fields, merging around field obstacles or cleaning up point rows in irregularly shaped fields.
IntelliMerge™ ISOBUS Control SystemThe IntelliMerge™ ISOBUS control system allows the operator to run the machine, make adjustments, receive performance feedback and carry out diagnostics. Operators can tailor their machine to field and crop conditions to maximize their efficiency.
High-Capacity Pickups with Integrated FramesCommercially designed pickups treat crop gently yet are built and tested for extreme use. The central cam design with large heavy-duty sealed cam followers provide extra-long life even in the toughest conditions. KUHN high-capacity pickups are designed and built with integrated frames to improve the strength and durability of the pickups and keep the machine looking clean as there is no place for crop to catch and build up.
Floating Windguard and Standard Crop NettingThe floating windguard eliminates the need to make adjustments when merging different crops or cuttings. The simple geometry of the floating linkage means the windguard is automatically optimized for differing volumes of crop. The long, curved fingers provide excellent crop guidance onto the center of the belt for fluffy and even windrow creation.
Hydraulic ControlsThe MM 701 and 890 require two tractor hydraulic valves to control the raising/lowering of the heads from transport to headland or working position. The suspension system on the mergers utilizes a slotted link, so the tractor hydraulic valves do not need to be put in the float position.
Central Lubrication SystemThe MM 890 merger is equipped with a central lubrication system; an optional feature on the MM 701. All folding and suspension components requiring lubrication are greased from a single point. This system is not just a grease bank but will ensure the proper amount of grease is routed to each location on the machine while the operator needs to only grease a single zerk. Optionally an auto-lube system can be added to further reduce the time needed for routine maintenance.
