2025 Kuhn Merge Maxx 890
The Merge Maxx® MM 950 & MM 1090 center-delivery hay mergers are ideal for larger farms and custom operators who depend on reliable and adaptable mergers to increase their efficiency.
With up to 36’ (11 m) of working width, KUHN Merge Maxx MM 950 & MM 1090 hay mergers are known for their versatility using center-, side- or split-delivery, in a wide variety of forages. Small-diameter pickups create optimal forage pickup and increased capacity, while the floating windguard creates a smooth, consistent windrow for easy harvesting. The AT-10 control box allows for user-friendly and simple operation, without compromising machine performance. ?
Features may include:
Multiple Delivery OptionsThe MM 950 and 1090 hay mergers offer eight different delivery options. With the capability to merge crop to the center, left, right, split, these mergers can adapt to any conditions to create windrows to best meet their harvesting needs.
Spring Suspension SystemA simple and effective mechanical suspension system is utilized for superior flotation. This design features four springs located on each head and eliminates complicated hydraulic requirements. Each pickup has a large pivoting angle of +/- 10° and a suspension range of 20” (50.8 cm) (-8” (20.3 cm) / + 12” (30.5 cm)).
AT-10 ControllerThe AT-10 is a non-ISOBUS controller to adjust forage delivery, individual unit lift, belt pickup start/stop, and setting the machine from transport and work position. This controller is very user friendly to simplify operation of the machine. The working width from center to side delivery is adjusted via the DA valve.
Small-Diameter PickupsThe small-diameter pickup allows for optimal forage collection in in both light and heavy crops. Rotational speed of each pickup can be reduced to preserve the leaves of delicate forage. The cam track design creates an effective path of transfer from the tines to the conveyor belt for improved capacity. The plastic strippers excel in wet conditions to improve crop flow from the pickup to the conveyor.
Roller WindguardThe roller windguard automatically adjusts to the amount of forage and guides crop to the belt to obtain uniform, fluffy windrows. The design eliminates roping to ensure easy harvesting.
Hydraulic ControlsThe MM 950 and 1090 require two tractor hydraulic valves to control the raising/lowering of the heads from transport to headland or working position. The suspension system on the mergers utilizes a slotted link, so the tractor hydraulic valves do not need to be put in the float position.
The hydraulic drive pumps oil through the main hydraulic blocks on the back of each head to run all the functions including pickup speed, belt direction, and pickup height. All of these functions are electronically controlled via an ISOBUS terminal.
