Generation 4 Display Software Bundle

During the week of May 15, 2023, John Deere ISG made the Generation 4 23-1 software bundle available on StellarSupport™. In this software bundle, you will find new features and functionality for hay baling, spraying and work planning that give you increased value with your John Deere Precision Ag Technology.

Key Features
The 23-1 software bundle release contains new features and functionality that you will appreciate leading into the summer hay baling and spraying season. Read about the software highlights below.

Large Square Baler Technology
Bale Doc
Gen 4 23-1 display software now makes it possible for customers with a 1 Series Large Square Baler to document their baling passes in their John Deere Operations Center™ organization. The operator can easily monitor each bale from the cab of the tractor in real-time while baling. By integrating this bale data with John Deere Operations Center, customers can now track bale weight, average moisture, bale length, flake counts and more for each field. Customers will find value through:

• Real-time, in cab monitoring of bale weight and moisture creating more consistent high quality bales.
• Ability to monitor and analyze bale data in John Deere Operations Center and Operations Center Mobile.
• Evaluate season-to-season data on perennial hay crops so hay producers can make decisions to rotate crop ground or reseed if necessary.
• Accurate moisture maps - both onboard the machine and offboard in John Deere Operations Center - pinpoints areas of the field where there are issues with dry down impacting hay quality.

Equipment Manager
Customers with a large square baler can now easily detect and setup their equipment within Equipment Manager and Work Setup. This new functionality gives customers the ability to assign crop types, varieties and desired harvest units to the job in the field.

Sprayer Technology Updates
AutoTrac™ Vision Update
John Deere is committed to providing the best experience for our customers who are utilizing AutoTrac Vision. The 23-1 software bundle provides multiple performance enhancements customers will experience in the field, including:

• More robust row acquisition and row tracking
• Less S'ing and ping-ponging between rows
• Optimized line shifting
• New calibration diagnostic trouble code

Center Boom Machine Measurements
New center boom machine measurements account for the in-line differences between the center boom and left and right boom wings. When accurate offset measurements are inputted, Section Control can more accurately control the nozzle on/of state when crossing boundaries or previous coverage, saving on chemical usage.

Data Sync Setup - New Features
New to Data Sync Setup is the ability to disable in-cab deletion of critical setup data in Client/Farm/Field. This feature protects pertinent field data that has been captured and shared with other sync'd machines.

Work Planner - New Functionality
Work Plans with Automatic AutoPath™ Selection
Operators will find it easier than ever to begin field work with Work Plans and AutoPath. Starting with the 23-1 software bundle, AutoPath tracks (sent to the machine's Gen 4 display as part of a work plan) are automatically selected and populated when accepting work plans. Operators can start field work faster with the correct AutoPath track with this new feature.

Automatic Removal of Completed Work Plans Across the Fleet
Completed work plans will automatically be removed from all connected displays after the work has been finished, no matter which machine completes the work.

ISOBUS Task Controller
ISOBUS implements with a non-linear boom, such as a pull behind sprayer, will not display as a non-linear boom on the Gen 4 display. This non-linear structure can be seen on the mapping screen and in the Implement Profile.
