John Deere JDLink R Modem - 4G is a mobile communications and processing device designed and manufactured by John Deere. It integrates 4G LTE, global positioning system (GPS), wireless, Bluetooth® wireless, and on-board machine communications via controller area network (CAN) and Ethernet.

The 4G modem is ideally suited for advanced telematics applications such as machine health monitoring, advanced logistics, machine control, and remote diagnostics. It is environmentally sealed and rigorously tested to ensure performance in the most demanding environmental conditions.

The JDLink R Modem – 4G is the recommended 2G or 3G upgrade solution for most situations. The 4G modem with a high-profile antenna is required for the following:
• Machine Sync
• Machines requiring wireless or Bluetooth wireless functionality
• New machine installations

Benefits
When upgrading existing 2G/3G with JDLink R Modem – 4G:
• Quickly and easily upgrade older machines with the latest hardware solutions
• Keep costs low as kit uses existing parts for mounting previous generation antennas

Product enhancements beyond 3G modem include:
• 4G LTE – in addition to faster data rates, this enables the 4G modem to prevent hardware from becoming obsolete well into the future.
• Wireless – enables 4G modem to connect to a user-provided hotspot device for data transfer in Global System for Mobiles (GSM) limited coverage areas.
• Bluetooth – facilitates connection of the 4G modem to a portable device.
• Increased processing, memory, and storage capacity – enables the ability to handle additional vehicle measurements and new applications.

4G modem supported technology standards and frequencies:
